From Grandma’s Kitchen to a Cozy Dream — On a Tiny Budget
When we bought this old house, the kitchen looked like it hadn’t changed in decades.
Heavy wood cabinets, outdated tiles, and a space that felt… stuck in time.
We had two options:
👉 Spend a fortune on a full renovation
👉 Or get creative
We chose the second.
Instead of tearing everything down, we worked with what we had. The cabinets stayed. The layout stayed. Even the floor stayed.
But we started layering small, affordable upgrades — the kind anyone can do.
Warm lighting under the cabinets changed the entire mood.
Natural textures like a woven rug and wooden accessories made the space feel alive again.
A few plants, a tray with oils, and simple everyday items — suddenly the kitchen felt styled, not forgotten.
No contractors.
No crazy budget.
Just smart choices and a bit of vision.
This kitchen didn’t need to be replaced —
it just needed to be reimagined.
And honestly?
It’s now one of our favorite spaces in the house.
